I am pleased to announce that registration for the 2016 Embryology School Enrichment Program is now open!
On our Embryology Page, you will find the program letter and description with more information about the embryology school enrichment program. This program is open to all working with youth aged 5-19 – schools, youth groups, families, clubs, etc. All are welcome! Please feel free to share with colleagues and other interested groups.
A 4-H School Enrichment Project is a cooperative effort between schools and Virginia Cooperative Extension’s 4-H youth development program. Students participate in research-based 4-H projects designed by Extension Specialists to enhance classroom learning. The projects are taught by teachers and consist of at least six hours of learning experiences. 4-H School Enrichment is one of several 4-H opportunities available to your students who can get further involved in 4-H!
Dates for this year’s program are as follows:
April 4 - Training, 4-5 PM, Extension Office
April 8 @ 11:59 PM - Registration Deadline
April 25 - Egg pick-up, 2- 6 PM, Extension Office
May 20 - Chick Drop-Off, 2-6 PM, Extension Office
Please note the training is before the registration deadline.
This year’s program is being offered later in the year due to Fairfax County Public School’s spring break and end of third-quarter dates being too close together for the program to occur before the end of the third grading period.
Incubators are not provided by the extension office, so you need to make arrangements to secure an incubator for this project.
Register now by visiting: https://vce.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_0xOriDhHEXAxvLL
The registration deadline is April 8.
