Welcome to Fall everyone! This is by far my favorite season out of all seasons, and it is phenomenally gorgeous here in Virginia when the leaves start changing color. With all the traveling, I did over the past several weeks; I have seen some beautiful countryside with changing leaves. The leaves here in Fairfax have not started changing as much as in the southern part of the state. I would also like to thank everyone for his or her patience while I was in and out of office the entire month of September. October is looking a bit slower, and hopefully I will be able to stay in the County more to help kick off the new 4-H year! This is our last week in the 2016-2017 4-H year! If you have any accomplishments you achieved during the 2016-2017 4-H Year, I would love to hear them J please send me your achievements so that I can share with everyone. I look forward to starting the new 4-H year here in Fairfax County and cannot wait to see what we achieve as a whole throughout the next year together!

This year’s theme is “Character Counts.” Each layer of the tree will have a difference Character Counts colors – Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, Red, and Purple. I would like to encourage every club to make an ornament in each color so we can layer the tree.
