2016 4-H Contest Day is a day to show off your public speaking skills! Contestants prepare speeches and presentations on any topic they like, and showing off garments they created and prepared, and receive feedback from judges. Each participant will be scored and receive a ribbon based on their score. This is a supportive, low stress competition which allows 4-H'ers to shine!
This event will be held April 16, 2016! It will take place on the 10th floor of the Pennino Building of the Fairfax County Government Center located at 12011 Government Center Pkwy, Fairfax, VA 22035. Due to facilities, the competitions being held this year are: Public Speaking, Presentations/Demonstrations, and Fashion Revue (both constructed and purchased garment).

We are excited to announce a new session of the veterinary science program! Centerville Animal Hospital and Hayfield Animal Hospital will host another series of workshops for those interested in a veterinary career!

Looking for something to do this summer? If by May you'll be done with at least your sophomore year of college, you could be the Fairfax County 4-H intern! This is a paid internship where you will learn a TON about event planning, 4-h projects, and what Virginia Cooperative Extension does!
