Good Afternoon 4-H Members, Families & Volunteers!
Last week was another relatively quiet week in the office for us. We were finally able to have the shelves installed in our new storage shed, which was the last project we were waiting on, which means that Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, we will be out of the office moving all our 4-H Fair and program supplies out of our storage at the Pennino Building into our nice new 4-H Shed!
I would like to congratulation Becca Berglie and Alina Ampeh for being selected for National Congress Interviews! We am extremely proud of both these individuals!
We would also like to wish Alina Ampeh good luck at the Skills Level 3 Mock Testing on June 22nd!
Please don't forget that we will have our County Council Meeting on Monday, June 11th at 7:00PM in the Virginia Conference Room located on the 10th Floor of the Pennino Building. Please bring or email me your designs for the 70th Annual 4-H Fair T-Shirt & Catalog! I can't wait to see what everyone came up with.
Finally, I am super excited to announce the newest addition to our Summer 4-H Team, Ms. Lauren Jones! Read below to find out a little more about her!
"Hi! I am a student at George Mason University, and have one more semester to go before getting a Bachelor’s in Anthropology, with minors in Linguistics and Business. I'm originally from Hanover county, and I’ve been involved with 4-H since I was in 6th grade. I’ve done a lot through the program and today I'm passionate about opportunities for youth, so I'm glad I get to engage now with the position as an intern. These days I am also a tutor and I help lead a group under the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program. At school I’m involved in a variety of organizations, and I do a lot with our International Programming Office.
I’m really excited to meet everyone and work with Fairfax 4-H this summer!"
Below is our Monthly Funky 4-Her Newsletter for the month of June!
