We are proud to announce the First Annual Teen Excellence in Leadership Institute (TELI) designed specifically for outstanding youth in Virginia 4-H and Virginia FFA.  Students will participate in several leadership development activities, develop personalized action plans for engaged leadership, and learn more about advocacy and outreach as they become adult members of their communities.  This program is partially funded by the Jack and Helen Tyree 4-H Leadership Endowment.

We are sure that you each have outstanding members of your clubs and chapters exhibiting leadership qualities that set them apart.  TELI will be limited to 25 outstanding applicants that are 15-18 years of age at the time of nomination.  Nomination and application forms will be available this summer and will be due in mid-August. This multi-event institute will consist of an in-person leadership development summit weekend in November, a virtual meeting in January 2015, and a presentation and graduation weekend in March 2015.

Please see the attached save-the-date program flyer for objectives and dates.  Each agent and advisor may nominate more than one student, but only 25 will be selected from those submitting complete, on-time applications with attached nomination forms.

If you are interested in this fabulous opportunity please contact the extension office to receive the application packet once it becomes available.
